WalkSuite

Interactive floor plan software

Interactive floor plans for the senior living tour.

WalkSuite turns your architectural floor plans into a living map on the iPad. Tap any suite to open it, filter by suite type, light up the amenities and turn the building in 3D, all in the middle of the conversation with a family.

The problem

Why a PDF floor plan stops short.

Most sales floors still run on paper: a binder of suite layouts, a site plan on foam board and an availability sheet that was accurate last Tuesday. It works, but it puts the counsellor in the role of librarian. Every new question (which way does it face, how far is it from the dining room, is the den big enough for a desk) sends them flipping pages while the family waits.

Senior living makes this harder than most real estate. The decision is shared between a prospective resident and their adult children, it often spans several visits, and the questions are practical: care level, distance to amenities, light and noise. A flat plan answers one question at a time. An interactive plan answers them together, on one screen everyone can see.

On the tour

What interactive floor plans do on a tour.

Tap a suite, get every answer

Each suite on the plan opens a card with its layout, size, care level, facing direction, availability and where it sits on the floor. The counsellor stays in the conversation instead of looking things up.

Filter to what this family needs

Filter the plan by suite type, from studio to one bedroom, den and two bedroom, and the rest of the floor steps back. Pinch to zoom and pan to a corner of the building, then move between floors and communities.

Show the life around the suite

Amenities and common areas are highlighted right on the plan, and amenity hotspots open full-screen photography of the dining room, lounge or theatre the moment the talk turns to daily life.

Turn the building in 3D

Swipe around a photorealistic view of the building with suite outlines locked in place on every angle and a live compass, then jump from the 3D view straight to a suite. Families understand where home will be in seconds.

Buyer's checklist

What to look for in interactive floor plan software.

Whichever product you choose, these are the questions worth asking before you sign:

  • Who is it built for? A self-serve web map for renters and a guided sales-floor tour solve different problems. Know which one your team needs.
  • Who controls availability? If your staff cannot change a suite's status themselves, the plan will drift out of date. See how WalkSuite handles live suite availability.
  • Does it speak senior living? Care levels such as independent living, assisted living and memory care should live on the suite, not in a separate brochure.
  • Who keeps it current? Ask what happens when a floor is reconfigured or new photography arrives, and how long it takes to go live.
  • What happens after the tour? A plan that ends at the door leaves follow-up to memory. Look for tour follow-up that carries the family's shortlist home.
  • How is it priced? Per-device pricing discourages putting the plan on every screen. WalkSuite is priced per community, with unlimited devices.

Setup

From architectural PDFs to a live tour.

You send the floor plans, renderings or photography and your suite list. We digitize each floor into an interactive suite map, align the 3D building views and suite outlines, load your gallery and amenities, set up staff logins with viewer, editor and admin roles, and brand the welcome screen for your community.

After launch, your staff manage availability from their own admin, and we keep floors, suites and photography current for you, live the same day without rebuilding the app. Building from plans and renderings also means you can start before construction is finished: see presentation centre software for lease-up and new development.

FAQ

Interactive floor plan questions.

What is interactive floor plan software?

Interactive floor plan software turns static floor plans into a map you can touch. In WalkSuite, every suite on the plan opens a detail card with its layout, size, care level, facing direction and availability, you can filter by suite type, highlight amenities, and turn a 3D view of the building to show where each suite sits.

How is this different from the floor plan widget on our website?

Website floor plans are made for someone browsing alone. WalkSuite is made for the guided conversation on your sales floor: a counsellor and a family on one iPad, moving between floors, suites, amenities and the 3D building as the questions come up. Families can then take the suites they saved home with them.

What do you need from us to build our interactive floor plans?

Your architectural floor plans, building renderings or photography, and your suite list. We digitize the floor plans into interactive suite maps, prepare the 3D building views and suite outlines, load your gallery and amenities, set up staff logins and train your team.

Do the floor plans run on our existing iPads and lobby screens?

Yes. WalkSuite is a web app that installs to the home screen like a native app. It is built for touch, swipe and pinch-to-zoom on iPads and kiosks, and it runs on lobby smart TVs too, including older TV browsers.
